In a unexpected collaboration that defies conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A strange encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of forbidden rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The plot features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine sect.

The questline concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Changes

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a striking moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Content

Players who finish the mission will obtain an unique katana in addition to multiple objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Latest Free Story Addition

This update also brings the game's latest complimentary story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
